The colour pink is seen everywhere, in every store applied on everything from tops to pants, shoes to bags and lipstick to nailpolish. Personally I’ve always loved this colour but for some it can be interpreted as too feminine or too girly. Of course I’m talking about men, but I’ve always find the colour pink quite attractive on men. Not the screaming hot-shock-pink, but the more pastel, peachy and bubblegum pink.
I managed to fins a top from H&M that combined three of this season’s hottest trends for women; cut-out shoulders, ruffles and pink. Paired with a pink Victoria’s Secret bag, stone washed jeans from Tiger of Sweden and a pair of robust ankle-boots, I’m good to go for a casual day out.
And let’s not forget the leather jacket and a cozy scarf for warmt, I do live in Sweden after all. We call this Spring but it was actually snowing a few days ago…
To all of the ladies who hates pink clothing, not to worry. The colour can be worn on the lips or seen dangling from your ears. I myslef recently got my hands on the most gorgeous rose-gold earrings from Dior.
I also recently found my new favourite lipstick for Spring, the new Dior Addict Lacquer Stick in the shade Palm Beach. To keep the lipstick and earrings in focus, I went for a neutral yet dressy top from Zara, a gorgeous sky-blue cotton top with white pearls and another of this seasons hottest trends – flute / trumpet sleeves.
Why I picked these two outfits in particular is because they are very easy to style from day to night. Exchange the jeans to a skirt or a pair of tailored black or white trousers, pur on a pair of pumps and you are good to go from school or work to cocktails with friends or a party.
And for all the men out there or the girls who want to buy their boyfriend, brother or father something extra nice, Bonobos offers a varied range of clothing with a very helpful “Trending Now” section. Personally I fell in love with this pinkish, two button blazer and their Classic Pique Polo in Heather pink. They offer almost everything which makes it easy to create day to night outfits, so check them out by clicking the links above!
And don’t hesitate to wear pink this season. It doesn’t stand for girly-girls and feminine men, pink stands for powerful women and confident men. Dare to wear pink!
